i have basil, rosemary, cilantro, lettuce, spinach and tomatoes growing on my fire escape. everything is doing really well so far. except i am afraid the squirrels are going to destroy my lettuce/spinach--they've just begun to sprout, and the squirrels keep like digging holes in my planter, uprooting some sprouts in the process. also i'm using one of those hanging tomato planters and it seems to be working beautifully.

i wanted to do cilantro, but it's not a full sun herb, and our patio is SO MUCH SUN ALL OF THE TIME.

speaking of our patio, when are you and ryan planning on gracing it? we have some room.

huh, the little info card in my cilantro says it's full sun--that's why i got it!

believe me i think CONSTANTLY about when to come visit you guys. not getting there is mostly ryan's fault because his work schedule is THE WORST. he's starting a new [old] job at the end of may, hopefully with more reasonable hours we'll be able to finagle a friday evening or early saturday or something.
