I've pretty much just been so adamant about how such fundamental things about my being are changing, I can't focus on the now, or the later for that matter. Just in shock.

As long as you realize that you're becoming a different person, and are animate about being unhappy with that change, then I trust you will keep yourself from drifting far from yourself.
It's not grasping too hard at straws to say I feel like you're mostly the same Alyssa.
