First off I wanna say I hate this GM shutdown!! I get 12 hours next week TWELVE!! because GM rules the roost where I'm from. I mean gawd, even the ppl at Timmy's last year had less hours because of the GM shutdown....My boss also cut my hours for tomorrow, which means no extra cool holiday pay. Yeah it sucks when GM basically forms the foundation of a city... same with st kitts, when the rumours of the plant shutting down came about, the city almost died. I dunno if it's doing much better now since we moved out of town around that time, but it just goes to show how much pull something like that has.. almost scary in a way.

12 hours all week? That IS awful! I hope everything works out for you. How long is this strike supposed to last?

It's not a strike...it's weird...just the whole plant shuts down for 2 weeks...I don't exactly know why to be honest. My dad says it's for a changeover on the assembly line. They do this every year. I just havent been aware until like last year because it's honestly never affected me.

Ya it's really funny how something can be going on and you don't really notice until you're affected by it. But it really really sucks, but at least it's only for two weeks right?
