that's scary that you were so near a shooting. however i think your comment about the people involved was offensive and unnecessary in order to describe the situation. stating the race of the people involved wasn't pertinent to describing the situation, and associating race with certain types of violence only leads to negative stereotypes. please be aware that such seemingly insignificant comments can be very hurtful and are not called for.
