That memorial (and the one in Pennsylvania for Flight 71) is a place I longed to visit on our move east if we had only had the time.

On the other hand, I saw a photo from a Taoist giving his seat up so an Hasidic couple could sit together, and they then scooted over so a Muslim mother could nurse. All hope is not lost in the world, I believe.

And yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Columbine. My college roommate's daughter was in the school that day and survived by standing on a toilet in one of the bathrooms, terrified.
It's so frightening, what people will do to others without thought.
