*holds your hand*

That memorial (and the one in Pennsylvania for Flight 71) is a place I longed to visit on our move east if we had only had the time.

(((hugs back))) We've yet to visit it in person, but I always try to watch the memorial. It's very moving as the family and friends of the victims read out the names of all those who were lost.

I fear the same. I wish we weren't right about this, but I'm afraid we are. :(

On the other hand, I saw a photo from a Taoist giving his seat up so an Hasidic couple could sit together, and they then scooted over so a Muslim mother could nurse. All hope is not lost in the world, I believe.

I remember so well. I was on a buying trip, in the Southwest US, and I had the TV on, an unusual thing for me. The channels were completely filled with Oklahoma. Such a tragedy.

And yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Columbine. My college roommate's daughter was in the school that day and survived by standing on a toilet in one of the bathrooms, terrified.

It's so frightening, what people will do to others without thought.
