So, the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing wants to carry out the rest of his sentence back in his home country of Libya. It has been suggested that he's willing to drop his appeal for release in order to be extrodited back to his home turf ( Read more... )

I agree. I think it's a complete joke.

I hate how having cancer seems to miraculously change people's personalities these days. As soon as someone gets cancer it wipes out anything bad that they have done in their life. To me that's totally wrong.

That's exactly it. You summed it up so well. It's like they're 'writing off' the 270 deaths because he has cancer. I feel like it's his 'Pass Go' card.

There are good, strong, wonderful people who get cancer who are shown very little support and compassion through the worst stages of their illness, and yet the government is giving sympathy to a mass murderer.
