I really love Cosmicomics, which has been my latest reading endeavor. Calvino has all these really crazy ideas, and he manages to dress them up in such lyrical ways. Cosmicomics basically works on the premise that there were consciousnesses around to witness various huge events in the history of the universe and Earth. So the book is basically

my favorite part of cosmicomics, i think. :) heh, i recently bought a second copy just so i can have one out on permanent rotating loan and still have one for myself.

hahaha, that part really is adorable

I have two copies of Gravity's Rainbow for that same thing, although it's sorta hard to get someone to read it in the first place. :)
