Dabberblimps live in the lake. They're kind of like.... cows. With very large teeth. They nibble on peoples' toenails if you sit still too long. Godric and I are gathering toenails now to see if we can attract one.

Oh. Only on toenails, or are they open to fingernails? And is it only humans' or do they nibble on other creatures with similar nail structures? Are they terribly difficult to attract?

This should answer both points: people think I'm very odd. They call me Loony Lovegood quite often when they think I can't hear them. Sometimes when I'm right there. So people take my things and hide them. My friend S(/scribbled out furiously) taught me how to summon my things to me even if I don't know where they are. It gets them back a bit faster than posting a notice up asking for them back. I'm quite grateful to him.

So that's why I said what I did. Sometimes I'm not sure what people mean and just ignore them. They think I talk about strange things. You're fine.

Hm. I'm not sure. We can test that too and maybe we'll get more nails that way since toenails seem to grow very slowly. That's what we're going to find out: whether they're difficult to attract or not!

Yes, I like to think I am. I sent her an owl asking her. At the very least I hope to help her figure out how to talk to you about it. I think it's very sweet of you to have gotten her a present. I'm sure it can't be anything horrible.
