LJ hates me

For whatever reason, I simply cannot get my fic commentaries to format. I think something about the blockquotes is making the whole thing do the wacky when I try to put it behind a cut. (The cut doesn't lead to anything, the rest of the text just sits outside it.) It's driving me nuts.

Anybody have any ideas?

Okay. If you're using rich text, pretty much anything interesting you do behind a cut will make it go insane.

Sounds like that might be the problem here.

Try doing the entire post, including cut, in html.

(This, BTW, is the only reason I now know how to use html...)

Mmm, yeah. Probably my problem. I tried doing the cut itself in html, but that was after I'd already done the blockquotes in rich text..

Yeah, I stopped trying to do rich text in LJ a LONG time ago - things just don't work.

Now, I write in HTMl automatically. It's so bad that I find myself typing school papers with HTML written in for italics and so forth, then realizing that I'm going to *print* the paper, not put it on the web, so I have to go back and change them. :P
