In addition to Lilah being possibly more successful/seductive, I think Cordy would have made more of an effort to counteroffer, perhaps offering to use her ties with the PtB to sever Lilah's contract?

I loved the image of you dripping bubbles while writing - sometimes you have to write the best ideas down, or they escape.

By pointing out its flaws, she more or less prompts Eve to argue back against them, almost as if she’s hoping Eve can explain them away.

Very sensical, methinks.

And I'm very, very glad she didn't accept. As much as it would have been nice to have Cordy stay, this is Cordy's shining moment, when she become fully actualized - still able to cut through the bullshit as only Cordy can, but allowing her heart to lead her as well.

This is, indeed, my favorite Cordy fic of all-time.

Oh hell. Rabid plot bunny. (Hense the delay between me seeing this comment, and me replying. I had to get started on the bunny first, before it slipped away!)

I think you're definitely right, and that's a really interesting idea. While the two women probably never liked each other per say, I'd say what little time they spent together in the series showed a real chemistry, and a bizarre kind of comradery - maybe in the sense that old-school-bitchy Cordy could relate to Lilah, like it or not. (Like Cordy said in Billy, "I was you..with better shoes.")

Whew.

This really was excellent - and reading it through with all your comments on Eve's argument just made the argument sound even more convincing. By the end, even though I knew Cordelia was going to turn her down, I really couldn't remember why...

Love the image of you writing fic while dripping wet! Plotbunnies really do strike at the weirdest times...

Aw, shucks. I'm glad you still enjoyed it the second time around.

By the end, even though I knew Cordelia was going to turn her down, I really couldn't remember why...

Lawyers have the uncanny ability to do that..those fiends. (And sexy ladies - they have that power too.)

Hee! Yeah, I tend to suffer from bad plotbunny timing quite a bit. Their other favorite time to strike is just as I'm nodding of to sleep...which means I have to get up, turn the computer back on, and have another cup of coffee.. (Not tea! -pokes tongue out-)

*pokes tongue out at you too*

I quite often end up waking up at 2am with a rabid plotbunny that I have to write down. Very annoying.

And sexy ladies - they have that power too.

*raises an eyebrow* Did I mention I'm currently wearing heels?

Terribly. But dream-based plotbunnies do tend to be some of the best..

Oooh..really now? -flutters eyelashes-
