So, that'd been an interesting party. Those friends of Rogue's throw a better kind of affair than you usually got, that's for sure.

Spike's aware he's probably in some trouble. Maybe more than some. Finding out may be as interesting as the party was ( Read more... )

Rogue had stalked through a good portion of jungle before she'd had to take her heels off and, feeling at that point particularly dejected even though she had been the one who was empowered enough to do all the walking away, had found a boulder to sit on with her knees drawn up and her forehead in her hand.

What a damn mess.

She almost didn't hear the approaching footfalls, but when they registered, she dropped her hands and straightened up a little. Not like she had much of a chance of being stealthy- she was wearing a dress primarily comprised of beads and glitter, and there was a moon in the sky. Bad luck.

Pretty distinct silhouette, though.

She thought of a couple dry or biting things to say, but ended up crossing her arms and looking down. None of them sat right.

So she didn't storm off all the way.

Spike realizes this is not necessarily a good thing, but his blood's up. Life is teetering towards interesting, it'd be a tough call not to go with it.

That said, if she's upset... angry, now, he's fine with angry.

So he does not immediately bring up that it was a fun party, or anything of that ilk, and instead says, "Hey."

Then he waits.

"Who started it," she said flatly, not looking up, and frowning a little, though at least partly at herself. She was holding onto angry, at least in front of him.
