Nerve-wracking day

Today was a mess. And I've decided that I will never buy (or let someone buy me) a washing machine again. At least not without transport *into* my apartment and assembly as terms of delivery.

Mmmm, not to scare you, but a washing machine weighs a ton. At least mine does. You might want to look into renting some sort of dolley that will bump bump bump up stairs.

Of course mine's *old* (I got it used from a dude who'd had it for eight years and *he* got it used) and they might be smaller and lighter now.

Yeah, the washing machine did weigh a lot.
But my dad came through and did bring something like the dolley you mentioned, with three wheels on each side. It took care of the weight problem, but the *noise*. We made such a racket heaving it up the stairs that everyone else must have thought we were trying to break down the building. Very embarrassing.
