Birthday and Zoo

Yesterday was one of the best days ever for me. For my birthday my friends gave me a digital camera!! I was totally blown away 'cause they are so expensive and it was quite unexpected. Very cool about the camera, and the great birthday you had -- and thanks for sharing the pics! I most loved the seal pics (right? or sea lions?), especially the one with the seal swimming, on his back with his flippers crossed on his chest -- beautiful shot.

So glad you liked the pics. I am very proud about how they turned out. Though I have to say the animals were being very photogenic thus making it easy for me. :)

Yeah, I think the one you like is a sea bear (female, the one on the rock is the male). Actually it was sleeping or dozing in the water, just raising its head every few minutes to breath. Very cool.

Yeah they were really busy with they chew toys. ;)

What I found really interesting is how different the lioness and the tiger reacted when their toys rolled into the water. The tiger just went after it, continuing to play in the water, while the lioness was wary of it and fished the ball out of the water with a paw.
