CHARACTER
NAME: Giselle
AGE: 33
FANDOM/MEDIUM: Enchanted (animated/live action Disney film)
CANON PULL-POINT: After she is pushed into the magic well.
ABILITIES: She can communicate with animals and summon them with her singing.
CHARACTER BACKGROUND:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enchanted_%28film%29CHARACTER PERSONALITY: Giselle comes from a land where fairytales are real, good always triumphs, evil always looses, and True Love is the most powerful thing in the world. So, for anyone not living in these circumstances, Giselle can seem like quite the odd duck. She’s very friendly, even to a complete stranger. And for those who are her dear friends, she will do whatever she can for them. Basically, she just wants to be friends with everyone and anyone. Even if someone is the most evil person that ever existed, Giselle would try to find the good in them. She will insist it is there, even if no one else can see it. She wants to believe the best in everyone and so often comes off as very naïve. And really, she is. She doesn’t know anything about the “real world”. Her life until now consisted of living in an enchanted forest with her animal friends, living peacefully until she found her True Love and agreed to marry him in an instant. Because she is so sheltered she really doesn’t know much about danger and who might pose it. It would be very easy to take advantage of Giselle.
However, once out of her element Giselle is quick to adapt. Being ever cheerful she does not let a strange situation keep her down. Though she will not have reached this point in canon, when Giselle finds herself stranded in New York she does not get depressed. While distressed at first, she vows to take the experience for what it is, and not be afraid. She ends up adapting very well, and she is sure to do the same on the trail. She’ll make the best of her time there and learn quickly as long as there is someone willing to teach her.
She is also a very emotional person. Everything is right there on her face for the world to see. She is likely to cry at anything that is remotely sad to her. On the opposite end of the scale, it does not take much to make her happy again. However, Giselle has never experienced negative emotions other than sadness. So anger, jealousy, etc. are far outside of her scope of emotions. Given that she is not outside of Andalasia, her emotions are bound to grow, just like her knowledge. Similarly, Giselle does not hold back with her feelings and thoughts. She thinks something and says it right away. She doesn’t always realize this might make others feel uncomfortable.
There is a lot of things that Giselle will not understand when she leaves Andalasia, but she will adapt and learn with grace and joy.
WORLD: Giselle’s world is the kingdom of Andalasia and it is basically every Disney stereotype rolled up into one world. Good wins, evil looses, animals talk, and True Love is the most powerful thing in the world.

THIRD PERSON:
Giselle peered hesitantly out from behind the thick canvas cover of the wagon. Outside the sun was shining brightly and she could hear the sound of birds not too far away. If she did not know better, for a moment she might have thought she was home in Andalasia. She had met some kind people here, and the animals were friendly as well, but she could not help missing home. She dreadfully wished she had her dear friend, Pip to talk to about everything she had scene. Certainly he would be braver about such a strange place. However, thinking of that seemed to give her a new sense of strength to face these new challenges. And of course there was the matter of her True Love, Prince Edward. He would have noticed she was missing by now. He would come and find her, wouldn’t he? No, she mustn’t think like that. Of course Edward was coming to find her. Their Love would be powerful enough.
She nodded confidently in this fact before being distracted by the din of her traveling companions arguing about the morning rations. With a renewed smile on her face she leapt out of the wagon and headed in the direction of the noise. Time to greet the morning and everyone else she thought cheerfully.
FIRST PERSON: Oh my! What a strange little thing. Someone told me other people can hear me if I talk into it. I wonder if it’s really true. If it is, then this must be like a magic mirror. I’ve heard many stories of them, but I have never actually seen one in person. It’s very exciting to see something so rare! I’m sure that Pip would have loved to see it.
I’m still not very sure of where I am, but if people can hear me it would be very rude of me not to say hello! Hello everyone! My name is Giselle. What is yours? Oh, and has anyone seen Prince Edward? I’m afraid I’m going to be very late for our wedding at this rate…
