Revenge 3x11 - "Homecoming"
Spoilers for the 3x12 promo, highlight to read: I can’t believe Victoria is perusing the contents of the infinity box in the promo. That escalated quickly. I wondered if it’s only a dream, but it seems to track with Patrick telling Victoria about it and decking Nolan in the promo presumably to snatch the box from him. I suppose Emily could still say the box belonged to Fauxmanda, but I doubt Victoria will buy it given the tattoo, so Em will just have to face the music. Another reason for her to fake the amnesia for as long as possible to figure out what to do next.
Nolan definitely seemed to be the only person who truly put Emily's interests before his own in that Nolan/Aiden/Jack scene while Aiden threw another jealous fit and Jack wallowed in his martyrdom. If it weren’t for Nolan, they would still be arguing at this point. Nolan/Emily OTP, I will always ship it because clearly he is the most suitable match for her in every single way. I can’t believe they didn’t let him see her; a whole episode without the NEmily interaction gave me major separation anxiety. I yearned so much for a scene where Nolan comes to see Emily while she’s yet to have her memories back and talks her anxieties down, so I’m very disappoint it didn’t happen & Jack was chosen as that visitor instead, ngl. I feel like I’m gonna require a fix-it fic or two to get over this.
I’ve never been fond of Aiden because of the way he consistently keeps betraying Emily and going back on his word. I’m surprised that Emily is giving him so much second chances after he proves to be an unreliable ally over and over again. The secret alliance/relationship with Niko is just one more proof that he can never be trusted because it seems a pattern with him. I wonder what will be her reaction when she finds out about the plans he had made with Emily - I’m guessing she might turn on him and Emily for this betrayal.
Whatever Patrick’s feelings for Nolan were initially, they are clearly no longer there as of his return to the Hamptons. I wish people Nolan cares for would stop finding new and cruel ways of betraying him. Now Emily’s secret is out, how do you think she’s gonna feel about that? And Nolan, NOLAN will be mortified for exposing her to further danger from Victoria following Patrick’s discovery and propsective acquisition of the infinity box. This might drive a significant wedge between NEmily, and I don’t think I could stand her pushing Nolan away after last night’s episode.
I completely agree about Jack/Emily. They have a touching nostalgic friendship, but it’s just not working romantically for me in present day.
I wonder what kind of punishment Emily will think suitable for Daniel. He is violent and unstable, and needs to be put away before he shoots anyone else when they tell him something he doesn’t want to hear.
Having thought about it, I definitely think Jack probably should have revealed the truth to Charlotte at this point. Who knows where else she might mention what Emily said to her? I think Charlotte wouldn’t betray her own sister.
Nolan is my favourite on the show always and forever. Gabriel Mann portrays him with an emotional involvement that makes me literally FEEL his pain, how does that work. Nolan also has an uncanny ability to incorporate a hilarious one-liner in an emotionally charged and intense situation, and of course, the fact that Emily’s well-being is his Priority #1 always and forever gives me life.
