Axis of evil

Ahhh I feel like I'm getting old!  Lately I've needed to increase the text size of several web sites, including LJ.  I knew I should have had my eyes checked before I lost my insurance.  Darn it!

My mom is coming on Thursday!  I can't wait to see her!  But her 2 1/2 week stay is a little over whelming.   What will I find to entertain her?  I'm still ( Read more... )

they finally built a sonic out here, after years of commericals! i was dying for cherrylimeaid!

that's cool your mom is coming to visit, but 2.5 weeks is DAUNTING! when i go to kc, it's for 4 days. i think i'll have had my fill out of everyone by then.

(myra had a baby. did i tell you that? i feel like i have like 5 times. first great grand baby!)

since nothing is on in the summer, i became addicted to so you think you can dance? there are two guys on there that i think are awesome. i feel like a tool for watching it, but that's ok. i also have begun watching the twilight zone again...i can't wait for house to come back on! and pushing daisies! did you ever watch that show?! it was awesome.

and wait, you were given a punishment?!?! wtf?!

Ugh I said something to the effect of "you can walk home" in the heat of the moment. And I got fired. I was rehired under the condition I work from their house. So so so sooo retarded. I'm sorry but I can only keep my mouth shut for some many incidences that offend me before I blow. And that's exactly what happened. Dave has anger management issues and the slightest thing sets him off (ie-reacting offended toward a comment or action he makes or "telling him how to do something") which I apparently have a knack for doing when he's around. ERRRR That man makes me so irate. Anyway, long story short, I avoid hanging out with him at all costs now.

I think you might have told me about Myra in a past life. :)

We watched "So you think..." last summer when we didn't have cable. The newness of the cable hasn't worn off around here, yet...

1. We're thinking of visiting Portland sometime this summer! We're going to stop by Mount St. Helens on the way down. You could take your mom there. :) (Btw, why is it "Mount St. Helens" and not "Mt. Saint Helens" or "Mt. St. Helens??"

2. Yes to John and Kate+8 and Reno911! I've been watching a lot of House Hunters and Design to Sell, too. Really, anything on HGTV... :)

3. Allrecipes.com is my favorite site. I get all my recipes from there. :) My current FAVORITE: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Jamies-Cranberry-Spinach-Salad/Detail.aspx

4. Ugh, I'm sick of the Sonic commercials telling me about all those wonderful goodies that I can't have. :( Looks like the closest one to me in Vancouver, WA. :P

St. Helens is definitely on our to-do list, but I'm not sure if it's a great idea for my mom, she's not exactly in the best physical shape for uphill hiking.

I, too, get the majority of my recipes from allrecipes. I love the ingredient search feature!

Sonic commercials are evil!

Sorry...I just thought that it was funny that I finally caved and got one and then you write about wanting one.

Anyway, top 5 shows:

1. Stargate Atlantis
2. Stargate SG-1
3. Lipstick Jungle (on break)
4. Grey's Anatomy
5. anything on Planet Green

I really like Jon and Kate + 8 but I never get to see it!

I'll try to think about things to do while your mom is there...besides wedding planning, that can take some time and be fun!!
