It could have happened anywhere, Kristen. It really could have.
So many people are trying to reach friends and family members to make sure they're okay, and so many people still don't have any information, hope, answers, anything.
It's definitely a scary thing. And even though I don't know anyone who goes there or anything, I still feel connected to it...especially since its an ACC school and its so close and comparable to mine. But...I think that's how we're all feeling right now.
My problem though is all the facebook stuff. Do we really need 400 groups to express our condolences...or over 40 groups with the shooter's name in it, blaming society and saying they hope he burns in hell? I get that reaching out through facebook is probably the best way, but it seems like everyone is doing it for a fad. ONE GROUP. That is all we need. ONE. And all those ones about the shooter, that's ridiculous. I get that you're mad, but I just don't see how that is the right outlet for it.
It's people like you who should be writing for the news. You perfectly word how we are all feeling. I don't like how people write about tragedies and leave out the emotion. They state the facts, use horrific words like worst, massacre, bloodbath, etc. You really keep the genuine human reference within this whole situation. Thank you for writing that.

And that's my rant.
