Thanks to riot_grrl who in turn got this from fuzzyrescuegrrl

I just found this site http://www.hartzvictims.org/ where it talks about and shows pictures of cats that have had severe allergic reactions to Hartz brand cat flea and tick drops or collars, causing in some cases siezures and even death. If you don't let cats outside they don't get fleas.

If they don't get fleas you don't need Hartz (anything).

I have 4 cats, none have fleas or have ever seen one.

I don't let them outside.

Cats live longer that way.

I'm not your arch nemesis, but I could be your best friend!!!

I don't let my cats out either, and they have never had fleas either. However, there is always the chance that someone's cat gets out, gets fleas, and they buy Hartz. Or maybe they live in the country and they do let their cats out. I don't care why they might get fleas, if they do, I want people to be aware of what Hartz products can do. So, if you love kities, pass it on.

Also, you said if they don't get fleas, they don't need Hartz (anything)

Hartz sells a lot more than just flea and tick treatments. They make cat toys, they sell catnip, cat food, bird food - tons of stuff! I will not support this company in any of their ventures, not after seeing what they willingly sell to unsuspecting pet owners.

Who knows, maybe you have purchased Hartz brand products in the past and not even noticed!
