I'm sorry, in defense, you appeared to be enjoying the company of those around you more than him - so he came to talk to ME AND HER - the two people he's probably also closest to besides you...

If you wanted to spend all your time with him - why be at a party?
And if you didn't, what's wrong with him not spending ALL his time with you?
