Wow... I'll be completely honest with you: I just never, ever felt the least interested in watching Vampire Diaries... until now. The story didn't interest me, it looked a bit too much like Twilight (which I shouldn't even say, because I didn't watch or read Twlight to start with) and, for me, it just looked boring.
Now I'm starting to feel like I might be missing out on something! I love that you added dialogue, it made the story more accessible to the non-fans like me. The editing is great and dynamic and I just felt so captivated by the story.

Oh I was the same way. I would catch pieces of it and think "ugh, another stupid teen show, RUN AWAY!" and never gave it a chance. Then last month, I found out that Boone from "Lost" plays the evil brother and thought I'd check it out to see his character

You're welcome! And reading your description I'm getting even more interested in watching this... I like what you said about the couple not falling madly and hopelessly in love at the very first moment and, even after they get together, it's not all happy and sweet. That's what a vampire love story should be, anyway! It's a human with a vampire, there's no way there aren't issues! lol

The thing that caught my attention was Boone playing the bad guy... I always thought that Vampire Diaries was Twilight but with two vampires instead of a vampire and a werewolf... I'm glad to know he plays an evil character, that should be interesting...

Heh yeah like I said, that was definitely my first impression. But it's not like that at ALL. Damon (Boone lol) is incredibly twisted in the beginning. He starts out as a sadistic sociopath, really putting one of Elena's friends through total hell and with little interest in anything other than destroying Stefan and Elena's lives. No conscience, no remorse, just evil.

His character evolves a lot over the season though, and by the end of s1, he's become a much better person. But then the finale throws in this major twist that had me screaming OMFG WHAT THE HELL at the screen lol. So I'm pretty confident that there's no danger of it becoming a sappy love triangle. In fact, it seems like it'll get even darker. You never know, the writers might screw it up. But I'm hoping next season will be as intriguing as the s1 finale seems to promise.

VERY nicely done! I love the audio overlay - you managed to get a vary clear audio track overlayed. There wasn't a single part where I couldn't figure out what they were saying (which happens way too often when people mix source audio with music). Great storytelling too - I loved how the flashy clips/vid as a whole was in a semi linear pattern, but not entirely so. A new Vampire Diaries fav ^_^

Thanks so much! It's not usually a problem with trailers but I was a bit worried about the dialogue clashing with the song's vocals. Glad to hear it worked!

Oh wow, another flawlessly edited piece. And wonderful audio! Made me like the series for 4mins 3 seconds :)

I really tried to get into on TV but the main character Elena, just put me off it. Would have been better had she been drained in ep 1!

Still, amazing video!

Thanks, I appreciate it! And yeah, Elena can be a bit dull especially at first but I liked her well enough later on. Not a favorite character but second half of the season she improved. And the same actress playing Katherine is awesome so I can get past it!

Visuals were brilliant, audio was perfectly overlaid, Within Temptation ♥ I dunno what else to say because this is one of the best videos I've seen in some time!
