Series: Spartacus: Blood and Sand

Title: Blood Games

Music: "Mortal Kombat" by KMFDM

Description: The style in which these fight scenes were done reminded me of Mortal Kombat, which is one of my favorite video games. So the MK movie theme plus Spartacus? It was just asking to be put together.

WARNINGS: Lots of CGI blood and flying body parts.

( I am clear. My purpose is blood. )

Thanks! I do hope it makes festivids because it would be great to see some more for the series (you're right, the selection on YT is....well, meh).

Thanks rho! You should see the show. I really thought it would be stupid but a friend's trailer convinced me to give it a try and after the first two episodes it gets really good, great characters and story arcs.

And of course...lots of blood. This was way too much fun to do lol.

Oh man, that was awesome! Great fusing of concept and material! I can remember when Mortal Kombat was considered THE most violent example of its kind and time and I'd wager that Spartacus could say just about the same thing, so they made a perfect match!

I adored the moments with the whip, the laugh at 1:36 and all of the signals to "fight!" Great work, I enjoyed it a bunch! :D ♥!

Thanks ais! I was always a huge fan of MK and Primal Rage (kind of the dinosaur version)...I spent so many hours and quarters (adding up to god knows how many dollars) at the arcade kicking electronic ass. I miss those classics. But yeah, the show was a perfect match for the music because they do them in this over-the-top kind of graphic novel-like style and the way the CGI blood sprays around and often covers the screen was just so Mortal Kombat, I couldn't resist.

Been a bit AWOL lately but I really need to swing by and see what you've been up to. I saw your "Tik Tok" video and adored the hell out of it...will definitely check out your other new stuff shortly!

Hahaha GENIUS! MK is One of my all time fave games as well and you really did the soundtrack justice with that vid. The editing is great as always and the vid is just fun and violent and you know I love this combination. That laugh at 01:25 was hilarious. Gotta check out this show.

LOL I thought you'd enjoy that! Fun and violent is so enjoyable to do, it should be a sin (maybe it is). Matching up Crixus roaring to the evil laugh in the music was a last minute thought...it was originally a few seconds later but I swapped it with another shot just before uploading and I'm glad I did because it ended up working so well. Crixus is awesome.

Anyway thanks! And yes, check out the show. The first episode or two could have been better but after that it gets really good :o)
