Awesome vid! Best recruiter I've seen for the flick. I absolutely love your use of motion in this -- everything just flows so beautifully.

Sorry for the late response - only just now catching up on everything. And thank you! It wasn't hard to make the visuals flow considering how visually mind blowing the movie itself is!

The movie grew on me after watching it for the second time and I ended up adoring it when seeing it for the third time only two days ago (so your video comes right in time ;). I also grew up with the original series and I was like: Spock and Uhura? No way! But I think they made it even "logical" (hehe) with establashing an alternate time line with events that will shape the characters in a different way. That makes the movie for me believable - other than if it had been just a lame rehash- and I expect to see more of this fun crew (cast). You're recap is awesome, as always. I'd love to have the pw for the HG version.

Heh yeah growing up with something and seeing it rebooted is always tough, a hit or miss, and usually it's a total miss lol. But somehow they got it right. I walked out of that IMAX theater with my mind completely blown. I WAS initially put off by the Spock/Uhura thing too but then I remembered that Gene Roddenberry had wanted a Spock/Uhura romance in the original series (kind of like what ended up happening with nurse Chapel) but the network wouldn't approve the interracial aspect at the time. So yeah...after a viewing or two, that helped me to accept them bringing Roddenberry's original hope to life in the new film!

I knoooow. Sequel in 2012, it seems so far away! I'm kind of hoping that while they'll introduce their own new characters, they'll bring in a young version of some sort of old character as a throwback, even for a brief side scene. Like...Trelane. He was so funny.
