Tutorial #24: Christina Aguilera

A new tutorial featuring Christina Aguilera (her concert was so freakin' awesome, you can read my review here)

Made in Photoshop 7.0, not translatable because of the selective color

I used this picture which I got from Xtinaweb.org

Step 1:
Choose your picture, crop and sharpen it once



Step 2:
Duplicate your base and set it to Screen 50%



Step 3:
Add a Hue/Saturation layer [Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation] and up the saturation to +30



Step 4:
Add a Selective Color layer [Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color] and use the following settings:
Reds
Cyan: 0
Magenta: +100
Yellow: +37
Black: 0

Yellows
Cyan: +100
Magenta: +18
Yellow: -54
Black: -100

Neutrals:
Cyan: +67
Magenta: -4
Yellow: +14
Black: +11



Step 5:
Add another Selective Color layer [Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color] and use the following settings:
Reds:
Cyan: -48
Magenta: +8
Yellow: 0
Black: +6

Yellows:
Cyan: 0
Magenta: 0
Yellow: -44
Black: +30

Greens:
Cyan: 0
Magenta: 0
Yellow: 0
Black: +100

Neutrals:
Cyan: +100
Magenta: +33
Yellow: -13
Black: +8



Step 6:
Duplicate your base, drag it to the top and hit Shift+Ctrl+U to desaturate the picture. Set it to Soft Light 50%



You can add some text/brushes if you like.
And you are done!
