Order of Bardic Alchemy Explorations and Omens

I've struggled a bit for while now with the omen part of doing personal rituals. It's not so much that I don't understand their purpose as ADF uses it, as it is that it just seems a side issue to my personal rites.  Most times, it is enough for me to know that I am receiving Blessings.  I'm not too worried about the kind.  Or, maybe it's that whole

I know how you feel about the omens AS the blessing. In my own personal rites, I've started asking for blessings, protection, and WISDOM, and then when I say wisdom is when I pull whatever. Wisdom is then anything in particular they want me to know.

Yes, exactly. What you describe is sort of how my request has morphed over the last several weeks since I started exploring this method. After I drink the blessing, I pose my question and pull the omen. Then I go into seiza and mokuso (Japanese kneeling & meditation in case your martial arts style uses different techniques/names for a similar practice) where I wait for the words associated with the oghams to coalesce into the omen image/message. It's almost as if the Blessing is the blessing, and the omen is the separate Working
