Life's a fucking bitch.  Nothing quite like having your new horse (who I've only had for 4 months) diagnosed with exactly the same thing that caused my last horse to be put down to bring you down of a libertine induced high.

i dont know. we havent scanned yet - got to do that on tuesday - and then we will know how bad the damage is. he may well mend enough to cope with light work, but he'll never make the dressage horse i wanted him to make

jesus. what's the vet who gave you the ok saying about all this? surely he's got some explaining to do, no?

not really. when i purchased him we had him vetted and they take and store bloods so i may get them run to make sure theres no painkillers in them. but its unlikely. will see what the ultrasound says and see if we can work out whether its an acute injury or something more chronic that the old owners probably knew about
