Odd question...

Okay does anyone happen to know the word the Christians use in their bible for when God is supposed to take 144,000 people? I want to say ascension but I'm certain that isn't it.

Yeah it is. But its not really in the bible. The Rapture concept is only about 200 years old and was created by some reverend in the New England area. He had convinced a bunch of people that God was going to take them to heaven for being faithful and good mortals at the time of Tribulation. Even came up with a date when that was going to happen. Those people gathered for the Rapture of their souls, some even sold everything they had. Imagine their disappointment when they found they were still in their mortal bodies? Heh.

Anyway. A whole new sect was created from this following. I forgot which one its called though. Named after the reverend. Its big on Revelation and the Second Coming of Christ.
