I've been packing my honey (and other food items) in plastic bags for many years, but then again, I probably haven't written anything that was this much fun to read in that many years.

oh no! Our bottles of honey did get wrapped in plastic, and make it back to the US. We always wrap in plastic after a similar incident with jam, now.

If you do need some acacia honey for you tea one day, come on over here :)

This sounds ever so much worse than the time I flew to LA and unpacked my bag there to discover that a shampoo bottle had exploded all over the clothing I needed to wear the next day. (Thank the gods for overnight hotel drycleaning is all I can say.)
