Its been awhile since I've updated LJ. Almost a month, actually - which is kind of scary. My life has been on hold for an entire month, and still going that way.
Carlos has family in TN, in a small town, where you also have to drive like 20 minutes to WalMart- and that's the 'big thing to do'. Or the weekend Flea Market.
Well, we have already discussed a lot of this stuff, but just know that I'm here if you need to talk. I've been through all sorts of family stuff with illnesses/etc., so. You know how to find me

I know. And thank you for that, really. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I do sleep... kind of. Probably nowhere near as much as I used to or should, but enough to keep me going I suppose. I'm fine doing this for right now. Its just, I don't think we can do this for another one or two months straight.
Seriously, no matter how dysfunctional the family is, someone's gonna have to step up and say, "Listen, we can't do this all on our own. We need help." Whether it's your grandma putting her foot down with the relatives or whatever. It's just gotta be done.
Yep. I agree, and I've told my own mother exactly that. But she is just as stubborn as my Grandma and refuses to ask for help.
"If they want to help, they'll help. I'm not going to beg for it. I don't want them to be here if they don't want to be."
And thank you for that, really. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Of course, honey. No thanks needed. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
"If they want to help, they'll help. I'm not going to beg for it. I don't want them to be here if they don't want to be." Well that's just... not quite good enough. If your mom and grandma won't ask for help, maybe it's up to you. And who cares if they don't WANT to be there? I'm sure, of all the things you could be doing and all the places you could be right now, TN is not high on your list -- you can make it work, because family love is unconditional, but it's not like you're having a friggin' party.
Somehow, get the family involved so you and your mom can have a break. It'll be good for both of you.
It's so good to hear from you, hon. I know you're going through an incredibly hard time right now.
I think it speaks very well of you and your mom that you are willing to step up and own this responsibility. I've never actually gone through this particular trial myself, but I have close relatives that have, and let me just say....you will be rewarded for your kindness....
Hang in there, sweetie, and hopefully life can get back to normal for you soon. I will say a prayer for you and your family....
Yeah, I guess the good old "What goes around comes around" saying fits in here. Its good to hear when my Grandma almost starts breaking down in happy tears and says "I dont know what i would do without you two here." So, were doing something right I guess..

But it seems like everywhere in TN is a small town area full of fruit stands and flea markets.

They're near Morristown, which is closer to Knoxville. I think.
