"This is the first time I can I know that I am "in love" with someone."

That sentence doesn't really make sense.

This is the first time I know that I really am "in love".

No sentence referring to that love which you speak (as in "true" or the love of a lover) ever makes sense...

Love is elusive and tricky. Nor has it ever, in the history of mankind, been defined. It is such a power beyond us that we have no words for it and are only capable of referring to it in metaphor. There-in lies it's awe and perhaps, so far as we can see, it's true beauty.

So I say never search for that defining moment. Simply rest easy in the comfort of knowing that, whatever it is, it is good and you are both happy. :)

At this point you have to be counting down the hours. He returns soon and you can hold him again in your arms, run your hands through all that hair, and "kiss him like you mean it". Many never know what it is to be seperated from a loved one for an extended period of time. When i say a loved one I don't include family. Sure you love them and miss them but it's not the same. You appreciate so much more when you don't have...I hope that your time apart has allowed you to reflect, miss, and reaffirm your commitment...I also hope that it makes your time together that much sweeter.
