MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL <3
Otherwise known as the 'Lantern Festival' or 'Moon Festival'.

the moon looked like a silver coin, even all the way in a different country. A fat silver coin.
Yeah, I remember the lanterns :D. Haven't they given in now, and gone to the whole electric-battery-lit plasticky cheap lantern thingies? It's even worse when they play this really irritating tinny music :(. It's like... give me back the candles and the wax!

Playing with wax was fun. And the paper was so pretty. We have mooncakes here, but at exceedingly extortionate prices and only because we went to a traditional chinese restaurant all the way in Petone.
