[Justin managed to make his way out of his dream. Unfortunately, the City didn't see fit to let him wake up; instead, he finds himself wandering through other dreams. Oh, please don't let him find Road's...
And there is Road.
The dream looks relatively harmless. He doubts it is; no dream of Road's could possibly be innocent. Justin glances backwards and finds a wall where the doorway he entered through had been. So much for making a break for it.]
How many dreams has Road trolled?child_radicalJanuary 14 2010, 01:21:13 UTC
[It was becoming quite annoying stumbling through dreams for the better part of the day. Huey walked around and surveyed his surroundings for a few minutes before he stopped. He'd seen Road before and he already knew about her abilities to manipulate dreams. As much as he believed his mind was strong enough to resist such things he had a slight amount of doubt when it came to somebody else's dream. Especially if it was Road's.
He began to try to look for a exit, holding out for the slim hope that the Noah didn't notice him at all]

Son of a...[He pauses as he hears the voice of one of his most disliked people calling out to him. Slowly he turns around and looks back up at the girl.]
[And here's DC Chris Skelton, suddenly convinced, dream logically, that he must be here as security. There's no way he was invited to an upper class party for any other reason, though he's a bit surprised that the Guv didn't insist on doing it. Or that Sam isn't here. Why'd they trust him with security on his own? He self-consciously presses himself against the wall beneath Road's balcony, trying to stand to attention, wishing that the blazer he was wearing wasn't quite so old, that his sweater vest didn't have a hole at the bottom front where the moths got at it. All he had to do was stay unobtrusive and he'd make it through the night.]
[And in the strange way of dreams, Road is no longer up on the balcony but leaning back against the wall right next to him, blending in with the other guests in her lavish ballgown, even if the lollipop she's still holding looks rather incongruous.]
[Chris starts slightly at the sudden voice beside him and turns to look at Road, a little nervous to see a young, upper class girl. In his experience, girls are terrifying from about 5 up until they're 17: especially if they're higher class than him and know they're superior. He has stumbling, awkward memories of being teased relentlessly.]
Wouldn't know, miss. Never been to a party like this before, me.
[This particular girl doesn't look to be more than thirteen, even if the way she holds herself seems a bit older, lollipop and all. She uses it to gesture at all the dancers, still spinning around in an unending dance.]
Well~, what do you think? From looking at them.
[And then, with a tiny smirk up at him:] Are you having fun?
[There's something wrong with how they're moving. It's not quite natural, jerky steps almost as though they're being puppeteered. And the eyes of some of them are far too blank.]
[She notices him there of course, but lets him watch without saying anything, idly continuing to observe the dancers, her foot tapping in time to the sway of the music.]

So do all of them, don't you think?

Not particularly.

Because this is what they're really like. If you look on the outside, you couldn't tell.

[Her voice chirps out. Not much luck of Road not noticing something going on in one of her own dreams.]

[He stepped out of the shadows to stand beside her on the balcony. His eyes averted towards Road with a grin across his lips to accompany it.]
Or is there something more?
