Oh my goodness! Back in full swing after a wonderful long weekend in Boston and Cape Cod. Working from home is such a gift. Great photos! I lived in Boston for about three years and loved it. It's still one of my favorite US cities, and what I love most is the ability to walk it. The first time I visited there, I pretty much walked through the entire city like you did. So fun!

Has they released the swans yet at Boston Commons? For years and years, the swans were named Romeo and Juliet - however they turned out to really be Juliet and Juliet. Lesbian swans, presumably... ;)

Yes! The swans were there and they had a nest on one side of the pond that was fenced off from prying people. I was astonished at how large the Commons was! And we were both blown away by the droves of people in the parks... before we remembered that they probably all lived in apartments or homes with teeny tiny little patio yards and if they wanted to see grass and trees at all, parks were their only option. I love the convenience of city living and I love the pace, but I need some space! I cannot imagine cramming a family of my size (critters, mostly) into a flat in any city. And I married a Country Mouse. She likes to visit cities but wants out as soon as possible. That said, we both loved Boston and have plans to go back with the kids soon!
