A shiny idea just came to me!

[Did that get your attention? No? Yes? Whichever it is, Pascal continues fairly calmly. It's not as shiny as she claims it to be, but in the spur of the moment, it seems brilliantly flashy and awesome by her standards. Ergo, she must share it with the whole of Johto.I'll toss a pokéball and while the wild pokémon is ( Read more... )

Such a tactic would allow your Smoochum to get in the first hit, but... I'm not sure it would do much more than that.

While they do say the element of surprise is the key to victory... I'm not so sure it applies so much as far as pokémon battles are concerned.

Of course it would. That wild pokémon would have a mean bruise on him from that right hook he couldn't avoid!

That's true, yes -- But pokémon do seem to be able to withstand much more than a single hit like that.

What are you exactly trying to do now? Try to charm the wild pokemon with Lossy's womanly wiles?

Or is it supposed to stupefy them into submission...

[ Pascal draws Lossy back from the screen and looks at her with a tip of her head. ]

Womanly wiles? Wow, they grow up fast.

Maybe a bit too fast.

But, really... what are you trying to do here, Pascal?

Exactly what I said! Throw a pokéball, then Lossy for sure victory.

I'm not sure how well that would actually work, Pascal-san..

No worries, Fuuka. I'll even show you when I try it out.

Are you planning to use Smoochum's attract, or something? If you are, shouldn't you use Smoochum first? You would be wasting a Pokeball by throwing it first.

[Fuuka fails to follow Pascal logic forever.]

[Fuuka, are you trying to use logic around Pascal?]

What if the pokéball is the one that's supposed to be using attract?

... Yeah, I... don't think that'll work quite as well in reality as it probably does in your head.

Well, theoretical yield usually doesn't match with the actual results, but that's part of the fun, isn't it?

Only if you like making up crackpot theories and then watching them fail.

Not all crackpot theories fail.
