My reply to the Clip Thief

She replyed to me:
> May I credit you then in the video's description? Honestly, I have no
intention of taking credit for your work. I just enjoy editing videos and
putting them to music. I uploaded it here so that I could share it with my
friends, but, as you know, the site makes the videos public and I think that's
where the problem is.

Oh hell yes you are being fair. I've asked the person who posted mine to also add my web address and name in her vid description box. It's easy for them to do....just edit that vid. I did it myself with what I uploaded, just to see. So there ya thieving jerks!!
Thanks for posting on lj and making us vidders aware of YouTube. A shocking revelation indeed.

Now I am moving icons and wp's that were hot-linked....what a day.

Yea she added what I wanted (sort of) below the video but there are spaces in my URL so if anyone copied and pasted it they would not find my site. She says you can't remove the spaces. Plus the way she worded it sounds more like I had clips of the movie at my site that she used.

Oh yeah, you're fair indeed. Actually, you're being really nice. When it happened to me I asked the person to remove my videos and ask the other vidders for permission, she simply deleted them all.

And yes, word on YouTube is spreading fast. Which just makes me even PROUDER of our vidding community.

I think you have been more than nice....too nice! I can't stand clip theft. Hopefully that site will get enough "crap" thrown at them, and they will stop doing it.

Later,
Blade
