Who Am I? I am the moon, who brings light to those who have none. Though, as diligent as I am, I still depend on you, The powerful and self sustaining sun. I need your warm caress But fear your immolating touch. Your blazing fire consumes all And I would be lost in your fussion Were I to draw too near. Yet what am I without the sun? Just simple rock, lost in the void. So I find a middle ground, In orbit with you. Fearful of the day I lose myself within you, Equally Afraid of the day you leave me powerless. So here I am And yet here I will never be.

And I would be lost in your fussion
