Ok, I owe Angelchrome/anyone else who is interested an explanation of the above, and it's a big topic with a lot of scope to cause serious offence to people who I like so I'm going to tackle it slowly and in stages - don't expect much serious explanation in this installment, this is just preamble and caveat

I entirely and completely accept that in your life God is both real and powerful. There have been times when I have wished I had faith like yours.

Without leaping too far ahead in your explanation, would you accept that there are some people to whom, in their life, the earth goddess is both real and powerful?

(please understand that I view a lot of this as a rank outsider. I've never had a major spiritual faith, and unless my life turns in a reasonably huge and unexpected way this probably won't change)
