Just a little bio...

I thought I'd share a little about myself for anyone who cares to look. XD Plus it's definitely high time I posted something in my sad excuse for a journal. XP
Before I start rambling, though, I'd like to thank everyone who's friended me! *huggles* I was really busy when I started livejournal, so I never really made an effort to find friends or ( Read more... )

I took French for 6 years, but I was really bad student and hated my teacher, so... now I understand written French, but I can't form sentences :D But I want to sit down and re-learn it over the summer (and also learn German :D) It's going to be a busy summer :D

I watched/am watching most of the animes you listed and love most of them, especially Star Driver ♥♥♥ (I read some manga too - Gravitation, two volumes of Fake, Saiyuki ♥♥♥, Switch - still reading this one). And I'm also a big fan of Seven Days and Kyuuso series.

We have a lot in common ;)
I'm really lucky to have a nice French teacher :) -when I was in school I met some pretty bad ones DX
I've always wanted to learn German! But all of their portmantologisms continually scare me out of it >_>
Ehhhh, maybe if I have time over the summer, I'll try again; it's funny because both my parents speak German as their 2nd/3rd language and neither speak French or Japanese haha

Hee. So after reading this entry, yes, I like you very much. ^^

I was home-schooled as well! I don't think I've ever met another lj'r who is/was almost home-schooled. Seriously, it's not as crazy as tv shows/the media makes it out to be. -_- I had no problem going to college and I am a very shy keep-to-myself person. I love college, actually. lol.

And I play the piano as well! Self-taught, but I teach it too. ^^ What kind of songs do you like to play?

I'd love to see your drawings or fashion designs!

And ILOVEYOU for liking Hatsukoi and Romantica. They are my new current obsessions and I am in desperate need for fellow followers. lol. And that is also really cool about final fantasy as well. ^^ Which games have you played or like?

Fellow home-schooler!!! ;) No, it's definitely not as crazy as people make it sound ^^ I'm pretty keep-to-myself too.

Hmmm... I tend to like practicing themes/instrumentals, but I have learned some classics as well. Tbh, my favorite thing to do is usually just to sit at the piano and compose stuff, although I forget a lot of it because I have a bad habit of not writing it down :/

Maybe I'll post some when I get around to cleaning them... I plan on getting a graphical tablet among many other things to make my life easier ;D

~Oh yes, join the crazy fangirling XD SiH and JR ftw!

Out of FF or in general? I've played all the FFs from 7 up [excluding 9, 11, and 14] and I just finished Portal 2... I wish it was longer though :(

Nice to "meet" you :D aocchan May 25 2011, 15:24:37 UTC
Hellou~ thanks for adding me :3 You and I have a lot of passions in common! First of all manga and anime *O* And you know I like yaoi (well of course you know, you've found me on a yaoi LJ community XD). Another thing I like is... French *O* I really would love to study it, but for now it's impossible *sigh* However at least I'm studying Spanish :3 Better than nothing! Speaking of fandoms, from the ones you've written I particularly like: SIH, Kuroshitsuji (I've also made a cosplay of Ciel *O*), Ouran, KHR, and KKM :D

It's great to have things in common~! ^_^
I had a terrible Spanish teacher in school so I never learned it :P I was actually a little surprised when I sat in on a friend's lessons and found I could understand most of what they were saying, probably since French and Spanish are quite similar (of course, I couldn't reply to anything though lol)
I would love to see your cosplay!! :D

Same here... I had a terrible teacher, but now I want to study it myself (I bet I'm better than her!). Also, Italian and Spanish are really similar, so it's not too difficult for me :D
I'll search the photo! I don't know where it is! If I find it I'll link it to you :D

Yeah, Italian and Spanish would probably be very similar, even more so than French ^^
I've ended up self-studying a lot things too ;D

-Okay~! :)

Hey, it's nice to meet you, Karen. ^-^ ! Aw, you're an only child? I have two older sisters who I'm very close to, but they are both in their 30s, so we don't have too, too much in common with each other. My parents waited forever to have a third child (me), so I'm the super little sister in comparison ( ... )

Yup one and only :/ That is quite an age gap :O Sometimes I wish I had siblings >_<

I actually have an obsession with the ivy leagues and foreign schools anything away from Florida :P
I'm not really keen on UCF, I know there's a lot of engineers there, but the math department, where my Dad studied, apparently wasn't very good at all :[ Although maybe that was just at the Graduate/Doctorate level. I'm glad to hear that the biology areas are good though :)

I find most shoujo boring too; always have, I was so thrilled to discover yaoi lol

Yay for fashion! And anime/manga XD

Eclectic is best :D Hmm, artists/songs? I've been listening to a lot of K-pop/J-pop recently... so if you don't mind listening to a foreign language I'd recommend Park Bom - Don't Cry, JYJ - Itsudatte Kimi Ni, Kana Nishino - Dear, Epik High - One, or CN Blue - Intuition... then again, I've been listening to the Kuro OST lately a lot too lol /sorry for the litany >.<

An obsession, you say? XD May I ask, what schools would you recommend for biomedical sciences? I've been looking at quite a few, but I'd like to hear if you know of any I haven't considered yet.

I love the Kuro OST. >_> I adore classical music, so I was more than thrilled watching Kuro and hearing so much of it there. <3 Thank you for the recs!! I will check them out. :)

I haven't actually looked into what schools are great for biomedical sciences *facepalm* Still sorting through the endless list of engineering options XP Generally, for myself, when evaluating any school for one of the sciences, I look for what specific facilities they have on campus that relate to my particular area of interest; what companies the college is associated with for research, etc.; what research/studies they conduct and have conducted; the connections/credentials the professors have; what type of classes they offer; what work experience options are available, if you're into hands-on stuff; preferably what percentage of graduates are hired in their field of study, what salary they make, and if they are still employed in that area; etc. Probably all stuff you know already, though :P

Me too :) Do you have any music recs? I need more variety in my life XD
