So around 12:30 I headed to Traveller's Diner for some coffee, noise, and a change of scenery. I know it's frustrating to write and craft things that you tell yourself no one will ever read, and yet I should venture to say that I think you also realize deep down how vital what you're doing is, if for no one but yourself. Sitting down to reflect, not with the intent to produce, but on the process of production itself, is necessarily a process of re-collecting, of assembly, a way of laying out and gathering together these tools of intuition that you speak of. You do the best you can with the pathetic restrictions imposed by our enfeebled language, but it's not about the words themselves, especially when you're reflecting on the writing process.
