I still do a double take when I 'see' people apparently talking to themselves in the street :-) It's the same when I see drivers jabbering away to thin air ;-)

I like watching what people do in cars, it makes the journey a little less boring ;) It makes me smile when I see the people singing to themselves, or just generally being happy

I play a guessing game: off their meds, or on the phone. Sometimes it's a crap shoot, but if you're close enough you can usually guess by smell. ;)

I definitely do that (talk to the air--or the answering machine at home) if I'm on the train late at night and someone creepy wants to talk to me...

I also have a tendency to talk to myself while running--either "get your ass up that hill, wimp" type conversation or trying to solve work or what-am-I-having-for-dinner type problems which wind up being muttering conversations our --mainly because trying to think completely inside my head doesn't work when my whole brain is fighting the run vs. stop battle.

Maybe I should start wearing a bluetooth when I run.
