Oh wow. I never fail to be amazed at the hijinks and utter confusion you get flying. The worst damage my luggage has taken is that Southwest ripped the fabric on the bottom of one of my suitcases. (Thankfully, it only covered the metal supports so nothing got exposed.) I've flown out of mostly SLC and SeaTac. Neither one has seemed particularly bad about security...but the holidays certainly make things crazier.
*hugs* Good luck and here's hoping no more of your luggage gets lost or mangled.
And I used to think that people were making a mountain out of a molehill about flying. Turns out if you try and fly in the US, you get to run the gauntlet of all the types of flying mishaps you possibly can, and more.

Hell, my plane flight to come see you... from Denver to Detroit - in Denver plane got delayed cause the toilet was stuck and they had to unplug/fix the damn thing... :P
We went to an Asian fusion place, which frankly was rather laughable in being 'authentic', seeing that they were trying to serve Asian food in what looked like a 4-star Italian or French restaurant setting. It just wasn't quite Asian, and it wasn't quite European
That's pretty much the definition of 'fusion' cuisine--it's not *trying* to be authentic to either style.

That doesn't explain why they had to rip the wheel off my first one.
I like flying. But I'm starting to feel this hatred for USian airlines and airports grow in my chest, right here.
