8 pounds

I've been at this for two weeks now and have lost 8 pounds. Wish it was more, of course, but I'm grateful for every pound gone. Bumped up my workout time to 20 in the morning and 25 in the evenings after I get off of work. I'm also trying to REALLY slow down when I eat. I used to just wolf my food down. You make an important point. I have a tendency to rush through meals, too. My worst habit ... and I have not been successful in breaking it ... is that I take a bite of food, take a drink, take a bite, take a drink. Of course, it's so I don't have to chew it as much. I think it speaks to a distinct love/hate relationship with food. I'm an emotional eater, but really don't enjoy it in any way. It's just something to do ... fuel and go ...
