I'm probably hormonal, but I've got my dander up and just HAVE to say this.

It is hard to be an under-eighteen at fair. A lot of cast do not know what to do with them. But Fifes have done a @#$$ of a lot of work to protect them, make them safe, and make fair a positive place for them. I never hear anyone give them ANY credit, and they deserve

You may not have heard it, but please know, that folks do give their thanks and appreciation to them. I know I do!

Thanks, I need to hear that! I hear a lot of complaints on behalf of the kids, but not any credit, to them or the Fifes.

Those kids work just as hard as the rest of us, they are troopers for the amount of hoops they jump through to get to play. The Fifes do what they do out of love and because they saw the need. The thanks of happy kids and happy parents makes a huge load worth baring.

I can't agree more. In fact, it was the youngest of the Fife's that brought it to our attention. Now it's pretty sad that a young twenty-something is the one with the sense to get the kids out of there.

I wasn't there. Neither they, or myself and SOD can be everywhere are all times. In questioning my kids, I found out more. You can imagine how angry I felt when I found out what they have been witness too.

But that wasn't all of Sapa or normal tailgate behavior, as far as I know. That is incredibly cool of young Coop.

In years before I would have been afraid to have kids of mine at fair, but now I realize (with all the Coops have done) that if I had had an experience such as fair, with that multitude of postive interactions and support, my life would have been very different.

Whenever I am around, i do my very best to make sure that they are okay. I know my husband and friends do the same. We love your girls and would never want anything to happen to them.

Very good point. I will remember to thank them next time I see them. I know it's a tougher job than I could take on, and I love that someone is doing it. I think the kids are an incredible part of what makes Scarborough *real* to people, although it does put them in a strange no-person-land, being underage in a theatrical venue. Hollywood and traditional theatre have some very stringent rules and regs about child actors - I'm glad that the Coopers have stepped up to the plate to provide many of the same protections without the strangling restrictions.

On the upside of all this, I know that I, for one, will be far more aware of where I am and who is around when I am backstage from now on.

I have not thanked them, either, and I'm going to as soon as possible. It's a rough place to be in.
