So I am about to embark on a grand experiment. For the first time since I was nine, I will be without cable for several months. "O, no!" I hear you gasp. "Why would you do such a thing to yourself? Think of the TrueBlood! Think of South Park! Think of Jon Stewart!!" To which I've to reply that Jon Stewart will be very much missed, South Park

Trust me, I wouldn't have missed a mile mark like 100,000 because each time I move on to a significant number, it gives me a lurch as it is. 75K was distressing enough; 175K might give me a heart attack.

I'm not sure what's wrong with her, to be honest. It's not like the Check Engine light is on or anything. She's just grumbling; it takes her longer than I'd like to get up to speed and it feels almost like she's shaking a bit when I'm on the highway. Nothing scary or even particularly noticeable, it's more that she just doesn't feel right. I need to take her down and get her looked at, I'm aware, but funds are tighter than I'd like right now which is limiting that option

I may try the secretary route next year; the flapper thing came to me in a flash of inspiration and I didn't want to waste the concept. Plus it's the only way I'll get to wear that pearl necklace. It doesn't go with anything else I own
