I love Pilates. I don't feel sore after - but sometimes during. It's a good sore, though, and I could DEFINITELY see a difference after a few weeks - even more after a few months. I loved Yoga, too, though, and felt refreshed and rejuvenated after my body got used to both. Can you take classes at Bally's without being a member? I should look into that. I'm doing Pilates at the Community Center but maybe I could try Yoga over there. Anyway, DO IT. See how you like them. They may not be active enough activities for you - you like running and biking, etc and I like a slower pace - but they are def. worth trying.

Thanks for responding so fast, baby!

What difference did you see? Was it toning, or just general healthier feelings?

I just rented a Yoga video a couple weeks ago to try it in private and see how I liked it. I did both workouts on the DVD and liked them both, although I felt the difficulty level of the video was a bit above my ignoramus inflexible self. I've done a little reading (unbelievably as research for a fanfic) and I think Yoga tries to encourage balance in mind and body as well as flexibility -- working your muscles that way also releases toxins (like a good regular massage) which builds your immunity (as long as you flush the stuff out with lots of water after your workout). Also, certain positions cause the muscles to generate heat AKA burn fat -- so even if it isn't cardio, you will lose weight (if that is a part of your goal ( ... )
