I gotta say... I'm way too bored for my own good.
It's time for the letter C! Yay!
I was torn between doing CSI: NY and Criminal Minds, but come on. You know which one will always win in the end ;)
Jess did awesome
pilot picspam, so be sure to check it first.
It was too tempting to not play a bit with the medieval/knights of the round table idea they did with those episodes. Obviously I'm not fluent in Middle English (I'm barely fluent in modern lol), so the few quotes I used were taken from various sources and I have no idea how correct they are linguistically.
More explanations at the end =)
A few explanations, sources, etc.
- the long quote is a part of the charge given to the knights by King Arthur. You can find the full text somewhere online (sorry, didn't bookmark the site and now I can't find it anymore).
- there are a few variations on Perceval meeting The Fisher King, so I obviously went with the one that the writers chose, which is also the most fitting one.
According to the legend, Perceval failed to ask three questions which would heal The Fisher King's wound.
Interesting that they chose Reid to be Perceval. According to a few stories, he was very chatty and it was actually the reason he *didn't* ask those questions - he was warned about his talkativeness, so he remained silent.
Also it cracks me up, but he wasn't the sharpest cookie out there, pretty much an intellectual opposite of Reid ;)
- the last quote comes from
Le Morte d'Arthur.
- screencaps credit goes to Oracle of Quantico and my DVDs
