I apparently passed out at practice today. That has never happened to me in my life. I don't remember anything. I was really dizzy and I told our stroke in front of me (I'm 7 seat), Chelse, to get Coach Tiffany. Last thing I remember saying was "seriously, I don't feel well..." Then I leaned back and next thing I know Maria is sprinkling water on

Knowing when to stop makes a good athlete, I once heard from my soccer coach. Of course she was referring to injuries and that sort of stuff that could keep you from running (or whatever) for a long time while you recover. I guess that doesn't make us good athletes then? I will never admit being tired or hurt, I guess it's maybe because I don't like failing at what I do, but I felt so sucky I had to tell my coach. Except it was too late.
I know how trying your hardest at everything you do feels. :) It's just she (my coach) wants me to gain weight, and I have (the healthy way, for the record), except I skipped breakfast that day and didn't drink much water and coming from a 3-wk really high calorie died to having eaten less that 500 cal that day was, apparently, not a very smart thing to do.
I'm sorry I can't make it to NOB, but I'm sure you're going to be awesome, as usual!

Hey...wait a second.
...This isn't because I didn't go to any of your regattas, is it? 'Cause I can explain...See, there was this meteor shower, right? And on the way to the lake, Bigfoot came out of the brush onto the road and attacked my car, and...
;) Just kidding.
It's not really a big deal if you can't make it, don't feel obligated. Most of my solos are one-liners anyway. But I would be honored if you could be there, even if you're late - come right after practice if you want to, I don't mind if you're sweaty and smelly and you fall asleep for half of the performance.
You just have to wake up for me. :)
Besides - after two hours of dancing, I'm not going to be much different, am I?
