It had been far, far too long since she had seen the sniper- and despite the fact that she had more than one willing shoulder to cry on during the first torturous weeks after his disappearance, it only helped a little. The only way that she could truly heal was to see him again. Even if they didn't go back to how they once were, just knowing that he was alright soothed her.
She looked up at the sound of her name, a relieved smile breaking out onto her features. Though she was still a little uncertain, and wasn't sure how to react. Did he feel the same way that he had all those months ago? There was only one way to find out.
And there he heard a few foot steps nearby. His ears never do fail him, but mind you, they're not elf ears (even though he did cut a few off because they were bloody eavesdroppers a few years ago). The hunter would know the sound of those light steps anywhere, because they sounded like the first time they danced during the masquerade, the many times they walked together through the hallways, and then that time when they crept into the bathroom.
It wasn't forgetful at all.
He moved to turn around, and then give that same grin that he always gave her a few years back. What did it mean? It meant that he's glad. Feigning happiness, but still. Maybe they could find a spare heart around, just maybe. He wouldn't mind, really. She was here.
"Looking better?" she teased softly, moving to greet him with a tight hug. "Did I look that bad before, darling?" She wasn't serious - not in the least - but the teasing helped make her feel more at home, helped fill the uncomfortable void that had been left with his leaving the mansion.
And she still silently hoped that she could be the one to find him a heart, even give him her own if that was what it took. Because, frankly, despite the distance and years that were now between them, Celine would still do all of that (and more) for him.

And right now, that was all it mattered, no?
"You're looking better already." he stated.
