Today's picture of the day is from Turkey. Ah, the ocean.

The beard has but a few hours left in its life. Stache Bash ends at midnight, and with it so does the lumberjack look. I decided I should record this portion of my life in some form today on my way to work, so I took a picture while I was driving.

Hmm...I don't think you have to have permission to cover a song. I'm not sure though. Duece would know.

Well I mean the record company approved it (according to their website). Maybe they weren't required to actually ask the band, but I'd think asking the actual writers of the song would be a good business move.

It was as much a surprise to Greenwheel as it was anyone else when the song came out.

Well, if my understanding is correct, most song, once made, become property of the recoding comapanies, who then have the right, depending on their contract with the artist, to release it for re-recording purposes as they please. Thus, you have those insane "NOW Thats Music vol. 84,483!"

I was relaxing to the sounds of Howie Day at the time, so I'm not sure...

It probably had something to do with philisophical themes during the Spanish Inquisition.
