For Mandy

The last week had been stressful. Drew wasn't necessarily used to dealing with stress, except retreating into his comic book world. However, this type of stress was different. It wasn't about school - it was about relationships. Every time he opened his sketch pad, he found himself drawing things from his childhood - the boathouse his father would ( Read more... )

"Are you hungry?" he asked, putting on his best smile. Drew hoped that his recent disappearance hadn't upset her. But Mandy was a pretty independent person.

"A Surprise?" well this was exciting. Mandy was a girl after all, and girls just loved surprises by boys. And this is Drew, Mr. Charming, and he never led her wrong before. SO yes, she was quite a fan of this surprise, and the fact that hopefully it meant spending time with this cute boy.

She nodded, "In fact I am hungry. So lead me away Drew to this wonderful surprise. You have me quite interested." Mandy was excited she got to see him again. She hated that they rarely got to see one another, but that was to be understandable with their situation, so she got used to it. Besides, they weren't dating or anything.

"Good," he asked, putting his arm around her shoulders to lead her towards the front doors of Hogwarts and back outside.

He loved how adventurous Mandy was. A picnic wasn't a grand adventure or anything but she was up for anything. He knew that should could always put her in a better mood.

And it was a beautiful fall day for November. With the sun shining it was almost warm. It might be his last chance for a picnic with her until spring.

"How has your week been?" he asked, making simple conversation as they walked through the crowd of students.
