Closed; The Hunt Goes On

There was a lot going on at the moment, each day start and ending before Drew even felt like he had his head on straight. Life started moving in fast motion the day that Jemma had told he was pregnant but that was nothing compared to when they found out about the twins, one little boy and one little girl, and their due date was quickly approaching ( Read more... )

Jemma was slowly but surely turning over the majority of her work to the rest of her team, filing away the cases that needed to be closed and figuring out who was capable to handle all the big and media-frenzied clients. Jemma took control of a few of the major ones- Kingsley's public relations, everything happening with Nolan's pack, the ones that she didn't feel comfortable giving away.

Not to mention her work with Draco was still breathing far too much air.

But days like this, days where she could spend it all with Drew were a defining reason as to why she was grateful to be giving her work away.

It put a whole new energy between them, being able to spend all of this proper time together. Especially now as they were finally on the house hunt.

"I like it-" she mused, looking around them, taking in the quaint little gate reading 'Greengage Cottage' and she smiled. "Merlin, this is cute-"

The whole day was worth it to see Jemma light up like this, a brightness to her eyes that was totally priceless to him. All he ever wanted to do was make her smile.

"It looks big-" he said, shocked as the approached. He was able to see the cottage at a better angle now, the front quant but it definitely opened up in the back. It was very deceiving.

"How many bedrooms did you say this place has?"

Jemma reached into her purse before they reached the gate, digging around for a moment before pulling out her planner. She flipped it open to the current day and ran her finger down the list before she found what she was looking for.

"Four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms-" she read, eyes scanning her neat scribbles. "Oh and a library?"

She laughed, looking back up at it.

"It wasn't listed for very much though," she said, looking to Drew with a shrug.

"A library?" he asked, shocked by that last bit.

Though, everything else seemed to check out. They needed at least three bedrooms, so why not four.

And considering he'd grown up in a house of six people (though, that turned to seven after her mum remarried and Terry moved in) he knew how important bathrooms were.

"Well, it's not like, falling apart, is it?"
